Natalie Texler

Natalie finished her first manuscript when she was seventeen and in the years since relocating to Adelaide to study writing, she has discovered a love of theatre through her sub major which allows her to work with musicians and actors. With the additional support of the University of South Australia to see her work on stage, Natalie wrote a modern adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s Salome for the musical theatre production, Slumway. Furthermore a script she worked on in 2010 with three other young writers was nominated for the Out of the Boot theatre competition.

She has also studied performance and drama at the University of South Australia and was a chorus member of Slumway, as well as involved with the University’s rock band on vocals and guitar. She has written articles for newspapers, webpages and maintains a blog online, discussing the world of theatre that she is involved in.
